This piece pays tribute to Mary Golda Ross, the first Native American aerospace engineer, a Cherokee woman who broke barriers in a time when science was not considered a place for women, much less Indigenous women. She contributed to classified space and defense programs during WWII and infused her Cherokee values into her work.

The painting merges symbols of her heritage with the wonder of space exploration, a visual bridge between ancient wisdom, scientific progress and Art.
